I thought the wedding planning process was supposed to be stressful?

We have about six and a half months until our June 11, 2011 wedding. Its mid November and he proposed in June, June 10th to be exact.  In five months we’ve gotten a lot done and learned even more!

We’re planning a local wedding, but for me, I suppose you could consider it a destination wedding, right? Living in Costa Rica and getting married in Pennsylvania. I thought it was going to be much more stressful. I had all my meetings over a month ago, and almost everything is set:

We woke up Saturday morning with 3 games of soccer per day, as well as 6 live soccer games under our belts and decided, “Maybe we should do something else.” So we did!

Sunday morning we left for a town called Hluhluwe, and if you don’t know, the “hl” is pronounced like this, “chl”. We had a one night stay at a lodge and planned on doing a safari Monday morning. We arrived around 10:30am at Ubizane Tree Lodge.

After the US vs. Slovenia game ended around 6:30pm, we left for Ballito, because we had a 1:30pm game, Holland vs. Japan! We arrived in Ballito around 1am, this gave us about 7 hours of sleep, until we woke up and prepared for yet another game!

If you’ve already read the blog titled, “Apartheid Museum”, then you know we’re staying in a cold house, but this morning it wasn’t a cold house, I believe, but don’t quote me, but I believe it was close to sub-zero temperatures. Ethel our host, who is a lovely woman, made an amazing breakfast, sausages, bacon, toast, fried eggs, cheeses, and all the accouterma’. YOU COULD SEE OUR BREATH! White we ate, you could see our breath. We were glad to be out and in the sun.
