Living in Tamarindo

Hey Gang,

Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth the last 5 months. Just been extremely busy. It’s been difficult to find the time to write.

Here’s a quick video of our new place that we moved into back in February. We moved to a Langosta vacation rental which is the neighboring village to Tamarindo. We ended up trading our 2 bedroom for a 1 bedroom 30 yards from the beach. It’s heaven on earth. Hope you enjoy the video. Sorry it’s a little shaky.

When I first decided to pick up everything and move to Costa Rica I was slightly scared. Like anybody would be I suppose heading off into the unknown: foreign country, no foreseen address, no car, don’t speak the language, no cell phone, and NOT KNOWING ANYONE. I’ve been here for a little over a year now and I’ve yet to do anything that doesn’t involve the beach. It’s a little hard to explain but if I’m not surfing on the weekend I feel like I’m missing out on something.

I liken it to the days when I was drinking. I always had to be out and involved in whatever madness was happening for the evening. I was always the last to leave the bar because I knew for a fact that when I left all the blonde and brunette bombshells in town would show up topless and drinks would be on the house. And man was it funny. I’ve never had a better time dancing to old school 80’s rock music than being completely covered in a penis suit. Let’s just say I was a fan favorite of the ladies for the night.
