Living in Tamarindo

Off we were. Our drive from Ballito to Johannesburg for the US vs. Slovenia game. We left around 8:30 and arrived around 2:30 at our hosts home. She was a wonderful woman, with two amazing German Shepards, some of the biggest I’ve seen. Only one complaint, her house was the coldest home Patrick and I have ever been in. It was about 55 degrees F in the sun, I think it was 50 degrees F in the house. When we arrived, she was wrapped in a comforter and had a space heater next to her. We later told her daughter, who has been our travel agent through this trip, that she needs to buy her mom a heater. She responded, “She doesn’t like to spend the money on electricity.” We changed the fastest we’ve ever changed and took off for the Apartheid Museum.  Read more...
