Mission to Ground Control, We Got Some Wheels in Costa RICA!!!!

Costa Rican License Plate

Yes that is correct I now officially own a car. I don’t know if I just signed my death certificate or not, but if you’ve ever heard anything about Tico drivers then you know what I mean. They are by far the most ruthless people on the road next to me of course. These people will pass in almost any condition on dirt roads laced with pot holes, around massive buses going into a blind curve or through a herd of cattle.

I like to think of myself as an aggressive driver. Other people would say I’m dangerous. But I prefer aggressive. I’m always thinking a few moves ahead. I would definitely consider myself a defensive driver. Just the other day I missed a wiener dog with my defensive skills by anticipating that he was going to turn back into the car which he did. So where am I headed with this is these people are crazy behind the wheel and so am I. So let the tango begin I suppose.

Back to the car. I bought 1995 Izuzu Rodeo for a little under $5k. Sound ridiculous? Well it is if you are in the states. Down here cars are unbelievably expensive. Largely due to the 30% tax on a foreign imports. I got the car off of a really nice guy I met playing poker. What really sweeten the deal was that I got a corporation and a cell phone out of the arrangement.

My corporation, you may be wondering, is called Jack Rabbits. Why I have no fringin idea! It reminds me of Pulp Fiction. You may also be wondering why the hell I have a corporation? Well to do anything in this country you need one. If you aren’t a resident you can not own a company, legally work here, or own a cell phone to name a few. The work around is the corporation. I still don’t know how it works exactly. All I know is I needed one. Below are some pictures of the new ride. Its o so ghetto fabulous. For $5K I got a 95 Rodeo with a busted passenger window, busted broken passenger door, and 100k miles. Believe me people when I tell you this is a DEAL. You will not believe what cars go for down here. IT’S BANANAS I SAY!!

Dirty, I like to see you rolling nothing better then you have here in the States. It sounds about right that only half the ride works. Kind of reminds me of the three door!
